Consistent with its charitable objectives, the long-term financial goal of the Bowman Fund is to build an endowment fund that will be sufficient to guarantee financial security and independence for BNCBC in perpetuity. The trustees have set a target size of £1m for the Bowman Fund's endowment, a level which would typically be sufficient to generate a sustainable ongoing income level of £30-40,000.
As at 31st March 2025, the Bowman Fund had net assets of approximately £400,000 with further pledges from alumni due over the next few years. Although the trustees are working towards the long-term goal of building the endowment, they will consider any application for financial support in the meantime that is consistent with the charitable objectives of the Bowman Fund.
